Athletic Director's Message
Welcome to American International School athletic program. We are very proud of our various sports and the successes of all the students-athletes’ accomplishments on and off the playing fields and courts. Athletics, which play an important role at AIS, are conducted for all ages before school, after school and on the weekends.
Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Table Tennis, Chess, and Track and Field are the main sports offered. A soccer field, multiple outdoor courts and gymnasium are available on campus.
Our AIS teams have had considerable success over the years in the National ACTION Tournament and the AASCA Tournament the Association of American Schools of Central America which is organized of Schools from Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica There certainly is a place in the Athletic Program for all interested students, and we encourage student participation according to their interest. Our success is a direct result of the participation and support of the AIS students, faculty, administration, parents and community. Our athletic department believes in the AIS experience which promotes quality and character of each student-athlete.
We work diligently to offer the best experiences and opportunities for our athletes both academically and athletically where students are challenged in sports’ competitions as well as in the classroom. The AIS. “experience” stresses personal character with emphasis on the values of respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship.
Our athletic programs have quality students-athletes, coaches and staff who help promote the success of these programs. The programs such as women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball and basketball aim the achievement of goals that are building traditions of their own.
