Early Childhood
The American International School offers three early childhood classes: Preschool, Prekindergarden, and Kindergarten. We have a two-tiered enrollment policy:
1- If the parents wish to have their child continue studying in Costa Rica and want their child's kindergarten diploma certified by Costa Rican Ministry if Education, then the ages of enrollment are as follows:
a. Preschool: Age 3.1 by August 15
b. Prekindergarten: Age 4.1 by August 15
c. Kindergarten: Age 5.1 by August 15
Parents who enroll their children required to sign a waiver.
2- If the parents do not require their child's diploma certified by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education and do not intend to have the child continue his/her studies in Costa Rica, then the ages of enrollment are as follows:
a. Preschool: Age 3 by August 15
b. Prekindergarten: Age 4 by August 15
c. Kindergarten: Age 5 by August 15
Parents who enroll their children required to sign a waiver.
